Automated special-purpose mobile mixer cars are design to receive hot metal from the blast furnace and deliver it to the BOF shop. A mobile mixer car moves on tracks being hauled by the locomotive. Hot metal is charged into the mixer and discharged through its neck.
Two types of the car bodies are available: torpedo shaped cars and detachable bottom mixer cars. Detachable bottoms are fixed to the body with special quick-clamping devices.

Mobile mixer cars feature a few advantages over the conventional ones:

The car undercarriage incorporates specially designed trucks provided with the roll-type slide assemblies;
All thrust journal assemblies are provided with the solid-lubricant coating which needs no greasing, improves the car motion along the curvilinear track portions and reduces the wheel-set and rail wear out.

Moreover, the mobile mixer cars are fitted with automatic control facilities including:

Noncontract system of the mixer car position detection on rail tracks;
Mixer car power supply connector;
Mixer body temperature control facilities.
